If we had to describe October in one word, we’d likely choose Crisp. Maybe because of apple crisp? But it’s also because of the weather. It’s not cold yet, but the sharpness of the air is reminding us that summer truly is over, and it’s time to prepare for the coming cold.
This is a great time to talk about preparing your truck, trailer, or machinery for sale. The goal is to attract a buyer within a reasonable time frame, who is willing to pay the right price. Here are three simple questions that will help sell your equipment.
AS A SELLER:
➡ Does it have a current inspection?
➡ Do you have maintenance records from the last 1-2 years on major components?
➡ Is it a little dusty after a dry summer?
For buyers, inspections and maintenance records help estimate how much time and money is needed before the equipment can go to work. And, lets face it, looks sell. If its dusty or dirty you’re likely to get a lower offer, versus a clean looking unit.
